How do we move from a paper parking register to this system?

Can we assign more than one slot to a flat, or mark slots as unoccupied?
Yes. Slot allocation is tracked per vehicle, so a flat with multiple vehicles can hold multiple assigned slots, and any bay without a current allocation shows up as unoccupied in the admin dashboard instead of being untracked.
How is visitor parking kept separate from resident slots?
Guards log a visitor's vehicle at the gate and assign it to short-stay visitor parking, which is tracked independently from resident allocations — so a guest vehicle never shows up as occupying a resident's assigned bay.
Does it handle multiple basements or parking zones?
Yes. Basement levels, surface lots, and block-specific zones can each be defined separately, and slots are mapped to their zone, so a society with several parking areas sees one organized structure instead of one flat list.
